Once Upon a Time…
- Styling: The Wedding Place
- Venue: Secret Garden
- Photography: Natasha DuPreez Photography
- Model: Tonia Smith
Inspired by the magical ambience of the Perth Secret Garden, we chose a simple, fairytale vibe and a pretty palette of whites, grays, and greens with hints on gold for our inspiration decor. Our model Tonia Smith looked absolutely lovely in a lace Beata Ridley gown and up hairdo and make up by Pink Make up Artistry. Natasha DuPreez did a beautiful job capturing every moment of this styled shoot, especially the Bride’s sweet sunset portraits through the garden!
5 Ways to Reuse Your Wedding Decor From Ceremony to Reception
If you’ve ever thought that decorating your wedding was a big job, you are right! From ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, there is a lot of space to fill and so many opportunities to show off your love story! Read on to discover five ways to reuse your wedding decorations from ceremony to reception.
1. Bridesmaids Bouquets Become Centerpieces
This tip is as eco-friendly as it is budget savvy! Your bridesmaids will be ready to ditch their bouquets as soon as portraits are over, just in time to use them as centerpieces at your reception! Have your florist design the bouquets with your table décor in mind and be sure to ask for their best tips for keeping the flowers fresh all day long.
2. Ceremony Backdrop Becomes Dessert Table Backdrop
Give your reception a little something extra by reusing your ceremony backdrop behind your cake or gift table! Many people don’t think to put anything behind their cake table, leaving a big empty space at your reception. A super easy way to carry out your wedding design is to use the same backdrop from your ceremony to style the sweetest part of your reception venue.
3. Ceremony Seating Becomes Reception Seating
Maybe this one is a no-brainer, but we couldn’t not include it! A major money saver when it comes to rentals is using the same chairs for your ceremony and reception. Why rent twice what you only need once?
4. Ceremony Decorations Become Centrepieces
Does your ceremony design include candles or lanterns placed along the aisle? Those same elements can be reused to fill out your reception tables! The same goes for floral arrangements in tall vases, lush leafy garlands, and potted plants!
5. Aisle Rugs Become Lounge Area Rugs
Using rugs as aisle runners is one of our favourite trends as of late. We love the warm vibes rugs provide to any celebration! These statement-making pieces can be easily reused from your ceremony to your reception as part of the décor around your lounge seating area, or even beneath your sweetheart table!
