The summery, relaxed feel of Brook and Jay’s wedding ceremony and reception was evoked through the use of soothing, fresh colours inspired by the combination of Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club and Harold Boas Garden views.

So much wedding ceremony prettiness…

They wanted to create a wedding that had a summery, laid-back feel. The design was intended to highlight the beautiful surroundings of their ceremony and reception venues. They got married in one of Perth’s most beautiful garden locations, Harold Boas Garden in West Perth.

At the 3 p.m. wedding ceremony, held on a bluff, the couple exchanged vows beneath a chiffon-draped arbor. The wedding ceremony setting had a dignified appeal. The French provincial style signing table, coupled with white Amaricana chairs, made a lovely accent piece. The elegant white floral arbor with a hanging chandelier was the focus of the wedding ceremony styling.

Green and white colours were also featured at their reception. We had floral arrangements in tall cylinder vases as well as crystal tea light holders complimenting this simple yet very elegant look.

What’s for dessert?

Another nod to the theme was the light pink and white wedding cake. It was decorated with sugar flowers and butterflies matching the wedding’s neutral colour scheme. The wedding cake, by us at The Wedding Place, featured red velvet mud cake with chocolate ganache fillings.

At dinner, guests sampled local wines and offerings from several food stations. All catering was provided by Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club and incorporated ingredients from the local farmers’ market.

After dinner, guests danced to music and enjoyed the beautiful sunset over Cockburn Sound.
